SI Wichita Service Grants provide funding to other non-profit agencies for specific education services for girls and women. In the past grants were awarded to Harbor House, Empowering Haiti, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, KANSEL, Kelly Davis Running International Foundation (Kenya), Stepstone, Wichita WIN, and Wichita Family Crisis Center.
In addition, SI Wichita provided sponsorships for such activities as the forum by the WSU Center for Combating Human Trafficking, the award ceremony for CLASS (Caring Ladies Assisting Students to Succeed), and other community projects that may fit the mission of SIW.
SI Wichita Service Grants are awarded to selected local and international organization’s that are aligned with our mission. Grant awards are based on the monies available through the SIW annual fundraiser/s. Typical amounts of the awards range from $200 to $1000.
In order to apply for a service grant, agencies must be sponsored by a member of Soroptimist International of Wichita. Please contact us for that information. If a member sponsors you and this is approved by the membership, you will receive an application asking you to submit information about your needs. Preference is given to 501(c)3 organizations.
SI Wichita Service Grants applications are reviewed and approved sometime during February and May of each year. Specific dates for deadline of materials are established yearly so it is best to contact us.
